Symposium on Artificial Intelligence

Robot Rules: Regulating AI

Book launch followed by panel discussion with Neville Eisenberg, Rabbi Shlomo Odze, Jacob Turner, Adrian Weller and David Benigson – Chaired by Saul Klein

What areas in the development of AI excite you the most? Is AI already impacting our lives in worrying ways? Do we need new laws or governance approaches to deal with these? Do complex AI systems bring new challenges to assigning legal liability if something goes wrong? How does “in the image of G-D” relate to consciousness and moral judgment? Is it conceivable that a machine could ever have those qualities? Should we ever grant a machine rights? Is it ever ok for a machine to make a life or death decision about a person?

Join us to debate these and other questions at this not to be missed evening. Jacob Turner’s recent book “Robot Rules: Regulating Artificial Intelligence” will be available for purchase and signing on the night.
